The CAHIIM APAR data report is an Excel Workbook (below) that allows the user to view and sort information collected from the 2017 APAR. The data represents the academic reporting period between August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016. Data is provided to allow users to create their own reports.

Only undergraduate, associate and baccalaureate Health Information Management program data is currently presented.

The CAHIIM APAR Data Report workbook contains two worksheets, the APAR worksheet and the Certification worksheet. The APAR worksheet allows you to sort and view programs by education level, content delivery, number of students enrolled, graduates and attrition. Also included in this worksheet are the data sections about graduate employment and graduate continuing education.

The Certification worksheet provides exam scores by program level, as well as the number of graduates attempting to sit for their exams for the first time, and any domains in which the program fell below the national average. Be aware that the Certification score reporting period covered by this data is between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016.

Each program reporting to APAR has been given a CAHIIM program code to de-identify the program in this workbook. This program code is not to be confused with the Education Program Code (EPC). If a program director is interested in finding out what the code is for your program, please submit your request via your .edu email address along with your EPC code to CAHIIM staff at and we will send you your APAR program code.
